Brief description

In groups of four we have to produce a 1min video piece based on the theme DOUBLE. We can interpret this theme in any way you choose. An integral part of your piece is text or a fragment of text referencing and relating to our theme. The text will be shown either typographically or heard as part of soundtrack.

  
     
  Initially, kidney was the object came up in my head. It has double meaning and uncertain emotional feeling, which seems to be sad because, it can be taken out to the other without any permission from kidney itself. It does not need to be two. However, after choosing the sentence "I feel like I am diagonally parked in a parallel universe" for text in the film, we changed the concept to bipolar concept- having two extremely different characters in one person. At the same time, I also wanted to put kidney and earphone concept(it has also double meaning) on bipolar concept. Therefor we came up with story that there are two same guys(one guy represents one character so two guys mean their are two characters) inside themselves with having kidney earphones which are connecting between them and outside their body. Instead of music in earphone lines, liquid is passing though transparent tube to show kind of thoughts being moved from unconsciousness into consciousness. During the sequence they are struggling to become one person,however, in the end they end up with one and get relieved. For showing inside their body, we had to make a set, but we also wanted to take advantage of live action, so we went out to hampstead heath and we did it with red fabrics.
